A quarter of a mile from the nearest public lane, set above the beautiful Downas Valley within 32 acres of private heath and woodland, where nature lovers can enjoy the unusual flora fauna and wildlife including the Dartford warbler and rare butterflies.Recently the woodland has revealed the ruins of an ancient mill discovered close to the enchanting Downas stream. There are various pathways within the woods to explore and enjoy the beautiful peaceful surroundings.
This detached cottage offers 2 bedrooms 1 double 1 twin,bathroom with separate shower room, downstairs WC, traditionally appointed lounge/dining room with sofa bed, fitted kitchen. Full central heating. Woodburning stove in large inglenook fireplace. First basket of logs provided free of charge- extra logs are available at £3 per bag.
The property is fully double glazed and also has a conservatory and its own large garden with garden furniture and BBQ and is completely self-contained. There are sea views from some aspects.
Mount Earl is only a 20 minute rugged walk to the unspoilt secluded Downas Cove where seals and basking sharks have been spotted. The South West Coast Path is close by incorporating the breathtaking vantage point of Black Head and far reaching views towards England's most southerly point.
The cottage is situated 1½ miles from the pretty fishing village of Coverack which has a beautiful sandy beach, shops, cafes, seafood resturant and Pub.
The village of St Keverne is 3 miles away where there is a lovely Church with views from the back towards Falmouth Bay. There is a Londis store, Post Office and Newagents and there are two Pubs set within the village square both serving food.
There are many things to do in the area within a short drive. Beaches at Coverack, (where you can hire kayaks and windsurfers) Downas Cove(only accessable by foot), Kennack Sands, Porthallow (which is renowed for its fishing and diving) and Godreavy Cove. Fishing and scenic boat trips are available from Porthleven and Penzance. The fishing village of Cadgwith is well worth a visit where you can buy delicious freshly caught Crab and Lobster. The Pub there also does great food.
There are Attractions at Flambards Theme Park, Roskilly Dairy Farm, Gweek Seal Sanctuary, Goonhilly Satellite Observatory visitors centre, Lizard Point. Tropical Gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah and the picturesque Helford River. Falmouth offers the Maritime Museum, Harbour and large range of shops and recently opened is Rick Steins Fish & Chip shop/resturant and Oyster bar The world famous Land mark of St Michaels Mount is approx 20 miles away and there is also a family friendly beach at Marizion opposite the Mount. Land's End and the Minnack Open Air Theatre are both about 30 miles away and the Eden Project is approx 40 miles away.

Coverack is a small coastal fishing village in Cornwall, England, on the eastern side of the Lizard peninsula. It is situated near to St Keverne, Porthallow, Flushing, Mawnan and St Martin and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Truro (population 20,920), Plymouth (population 243,795), and Exeter (which has a population of 106,772 according to the 2001 Census).
Set in an area which is very popular for watersports including sailing and diving, Coverack is also known for the dangerous nearby rocks called The Manacles which have claimed a number of ships over the years. The resultant wrecks have become popular with divers as a consequence.
